threshold frequency（阈频/截止频率）：指某一物理过程发生所需的最低频率。在光电效应中，它是能使金属表面刚好开始逸出电子的最小入射光频率；低于此频率，即使光强很大也不会产生光电子。（在其他学科中也可指系统开始产生特定响应的最低频率。）
